FREE SONGWRITING WORKSHOPS
Song Trails Central
REGISTRATIONS NOW CLOSED
Registrations for our free songwriting workshops have now closed! Come and see the Song Trails Finale Concert at Brisbane Powerhouse on Sunday 2 August, 3.30pm.
Does contemplating writing a song bring about immediate writer's block and floods of frustration? Then let the superlative skills of Australia’s greatest singer/songwriters help demystify the elusive songwriting process for you.
Song Trails is a series of free songwriting workshops in which participants (aged 14 years and over) can tap into the wealth of skill and experience of specially selected workshop leaders, learning from them the artistry and techniques required to finally complete that self-penned masterpiece.
Boom Crash Opera’s guitarist Peter Farnan has curated a team of highly skilled and awarded songwriters for the Song Trails Central tour. Joining Peter is Rebecca Barnard formerly of Rebecca’s Empire, Scott Edgar from Australian comedy act Tripod and Robert Forster, co-founder and songwriter of one of Australia’s most iconic bands, The Go-Betweens.
While travelling between locations, the Song Trailers will be writing songs together about the places they visit and the people they meet to present in a show-and-tell finale performance of songs and stories at Brisbane Powerhouse.
