Sarah Blasko
Sarah Blasko is a multi ARIA Award winning Australian musician. She was born in Sydney soon after her family returned from French-speaking Réunion where her parents had been missionaries. Blasko is known for her writing and production skills, as well as her unique voice and stage presence.
Sarah released her first EP, Prelusive, in 2004. The record propelled Blasko and later that year her first LP, ‘The Overture & the Underscore’, was released in Australia. After the album’s 2005 American release, Blasko embarked on tours with Ray LaMontagne and Martha Wainwright. Her second full-length album, ‘What the Sea Wants, the Sea Will Have’, was released in Australia in 2006, debuting at number seven on the ARIA chart.
