Leah Flanagan
With her powerful voice and original lyrics, Leah Flanagan has become a familiar face on the Darwin music scene.
The 23 year old has come a long way since her first live performance almost seven years ago with her band, gradually gaining the national renown they deserve with their unique brand of alternative folk.
In 2007, Leah was personally invited by Peter Noble to perform at the 2008 East Coast Blues & Roots Festival after he saw her play live at a jazz and blues bar in Darwin. In addition, her band has performed at many high profile festivals such as Woodford, Tamworth, FUSE, St Kilda Festival and Dreaming.
Leah was the winner of the 2007 NT Indigenous Music Award for ‘Best Emerging Artist’.
