João Rabello
From childhood, João Rabello dedicated himself to ceaselessly to the study of the acoustic guitar; however, only on a few occasions did he actually display his work to the public.
In 1998, he recorded a solo track on a record dedicated to Nicanor Teixeira’s work, and debuted on-stage for the launch of his record in 2001, at the Baden Powell Concert Hall, Rio de Janeiro. He put up rare appearances in Brazilian cities in the following years while diversifying his training.
From 2004 João started to dedicate himself exclusively to his work as an acoustic guitarist. He started to play with his father’s musical group, which brought him the opportunity to present part of his work as a soloist.
Side by side with Paulinho da Viola he travelled to various cities in Brazil and debuted on the international stage in New York in 2004. In 2006 Joao produced his first CD, ‘Roendo As Unhas’ (Biting One’s Nails).
