Brian Kneipp
Born in Townsville, Brian Kniepp has worked principally (wrong word – principally suggests one thing) in theatre, music and film and television industries in Australia and overseas, as writer, composer, performer, producer, director, engineer, technician and actor.
Brian has worked for a wide diversity of companies including Hunter Valley Theatre Company, Belvoir Street Theatre Company, Adelaide Festival of the Arts, La Boite Theatre and the Edinburgh Festival.
He has also played in bands including Snorkels, Jungle Patrol, Bondi Bettys and Cracker Night. Brian has also played, toured and recorded seven albums with the Barramundi Brothers, including festivals at Tamworth, Port Fairy and Woodford.
"Anyone at the recent Townsville art awards would have gone away with the lasting memory of probably the outstanding performance in the city this year, that of Professor Edward E Edwards (Aka Brian Kneipp), completing a wonderful skit sending up academia, with a rendition of Johnny B Goode that will not be forgotten. It was one of those performances."
