Bernard Fanning
With arguably the most recognisable voice in Australia, Bernard Fanning needs little introduction. As frontman of Australia’s favourite rock band and Brisbane’s proudest export, Powderfinger, Fanning has been enchanting crowds with his lyrical charm for over twenty years.
During the last two decades Powderfinger has not only become the soundtrack to many Australian’s lives but also come to hold an important place in their musical hearts.
Fanning’s blues and folk inspired solo venture Tea & Sympathy, released in 2005, received three ARIA Awards with single ‘Wish you well’ taking the number one spot for Triple J’s Hottest 100 of the year. A strong supporter of philanthropic causes, Fanning has in the past played charity events such as YoungCare, WaveAid and Across the Great Divide, a concert aimed at improving the living standards of Aboriginal Australians.
